This is a picture of the salad I had with dinner tonight. I never would have believed this myself but now, in the frigid depths of February, I'm still eating fresh tomatoes grown in my own garden. They were very green when I picked them in late November when temperatures were beginning to dip and I never expected them to ripen but they did, very slowly. I've been eating my home grown tomatoes continuously since last summer and I still have cilantro growing under my hoop house but I can't get to it because it's underneath a pile of snow. Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me.The days are getting longer and my garden is beginning to whisper to me. The growing season is coming. Good thing too. I'm running out of tomatoes.
