Learning Something New Every Day.

The phenomenon of blogging and other forms of electronic social networking is awesome in its ability to allow rapid exchange of ideas and information. It allows individuals who may have limited access to conventional methods of information exchange the opportunity to stay informed and keep up with what is happening around them. For an information hound like me, this is next to Nirvana.

Today I received a lovely comment from a new reader who invited me to look at her blog. There I learned a new crafting term -- CASE -- which stands for Copy And Steal Everything. It refers to the process of looking at the work of another artist and essentially doing a "knock off", or imitating it in your own style. I also learned CAS, which means Clean and Simple, referring to designs and/or layouts that are...well... clean and simple, without a multitude of elements or embellishments. Then I decided to go visit the site of one of my blog followers and -- lo and behold -- she, too, used the term CASE. I guess I'm a little slow picking up the trends and terminology but I'm sure with the help of my fellow bloggers I'll be up to speed in no time.

The Internet...ya gotta love it.
